Physical Server/Data Security

Feel confident that your data is safe on our servers!

  • Located in a security cage in Miami FL, at a former BellSouth central office built to category 5 hurricane standards.
  • Located outside the hurricane evacuation zone
  • 24X7 Manned Security and Closed Circuit TV surveillance synchronized with tape backup
  • Physical access to servers controlled by a dual authorization system
  • Biometric (physical trait such as fingerprint)
  • Access card system

Power
  • FPL (Florida Power and Light Company) Power feeds from two substations on dual grids
  • Backed up by UPS (uninterruptible power supply) Batteries with a lifespan of eight hours
  • UPS is backed up by a generator system with a ten thousand gallon fuel reserve

Network
  • Dual firewalls - A firewall is a dedicated appliance which inspects network traffic passing through it, and denies or permits passage based on a set of rules. The firewall acts like a gate to protect assets to ensure that nothing private goes out and nothing malicious comes in.
The use of two firewalls:
The first firewall (also called the "front-end" firewall) must be configured to allow web based traffic only. The second firewall (also called "back-end" firewall) allows only traffic specific to the requested server (Our Web Application) adding a second level of security.
  • Protection from Denial of Service (DoS) attacks - DoS is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the concerted efforts of a person or people to prevent an Internet site or service from functioning efficiently or at all, temporarily or indefinitely.
Windows Security Updates
  • Security patches installed upon release
  • ActiveServe provides notification when critical patches are released and prompts immediate update.
Assist Site
  • Password protected access
  • User based permissions
  • Session Token used to identify a logged in user (SUID)
  • Session timeout (Automatic logout of users after a specified time)
SSL Certificate
  • Applies to the encryption of data between the Host Server and the recipient
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), are cryptographic protocols that provide security and data integrity for communications over networks such as the Internet. A key is determined and all communications are encrypted during transmission through the use of that key.
  • Comodo (Elite) SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Future Proof 2048-bit Certificate
  • Comodo is one of the largest providers of security certificates
  • Business validated SSL Certificate
  • 2048-bit certificate meets The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of the US Governments recommendation for security
Mozy Backups
  • Daily Backups of system data between 1am – 6am
  • Files are encrypted and saved on our server
  • The encrypted data is then transferred to Mozy server via SSL Connection adding a dual layer of encryption
